So I've been quiet and shit, which is totally weird for me, and just like...sitting here, thinking about the what the f is going on.

I just... I don't even know what to say.

I have a baby and OMG both her parents? Mutants. And not just ANY Mutants but like .....well, Alex is prolly way up there on the power scale, and I know that Ms. Frost always said I could be alpha if I tried (my answer? "But Ms. FROOOST, that involves WORK...ugh.") so really in like these stupid people's thoughts?

Scott's going to D.C. I really don't know what to do, but fuck, I am not going to let anything happen to my baby beacuse some moron thinks I should be sterilized so my mutant horriblness doesn't like carry onto to future generations.

So. Today, Scott and Alex decided they were related and took Cati away from me. All day. All, glorious day.

Can I say something? My room? SO QUIET. Holy, I never realized how much babbling my baby does and it's just...huh. I missed it :(

Thank you Meg then for dragging me to the DR this morning, and thank you Paigey for dragging me to the DR this afternoon. I forgot what it was like to train, and oh yeah, thank you for NOT pointing and laughing, Wolvie, when I fell against a simulated palm tree and almost got eaten by a crocodile. Really. Your self-control is fantastic.

It was nice to train again though. I really have been meaning to get out there and do something but I haven't. I've been lazy. This needs to change. I need to be an X-man again but first, must lose weight. Leather is SO not forgiving.

Also? Alex, if I find out you were the one that made my yellow jacket disappear, no sex. None. I will cut you off and I don't care if that means I get none either. Principle of the matter.

Okay, so like for all those moms out there that go to school, and work, and take care of their kid, and work on world peace and bake and cook and sew and practice medicine on their spare time, I have one thing to say:

Cati's 5 months now. 5. that's it. By my calculations (and remember people -- I suck at math) I have another 17 years and 7 months to go before I can say "SEE YA!" and I'm already pooped. Tired. Discombobulated. She's only the most cutest roly poly baby EVER but ffs -- teething AND trying to crawl?? NO THANK YOU.  She's like a puppy and wants to bite at everything only to realize that omg biting on things makes her mouth hurt and then she cries and then Alex tries to feed her pickles and ARGH.

I'm amazed I have any brain left although on the plus side, I've somehow managed to lose weight. I blame the breast feeding which means my boobs are smaller now. SIGH. The only good part about being a mom is slowly going away...nah, I kid. I love mah daughter who is only the most cutest thing in the entire world.  Just all cuuuuuuttteeee and so totally mine. She's fun for cuddles and stuff and yeah.

Now if only her dad would actually USE her name as she is a BABY and not a vegetable.

Also? HI! I LIVE! OMG I am going to stop being so freaking anti-social, damnit. I MEAN it. I'm going to stop reveling in how adorable my kid is and go from there ^_^ How goes it peeps?

Jubilee and Alex's first date...

...set last Thursday. Yes, it's true, they have a kid, and have never dated. Oh I wuv these backwards muses so so much. :D

If religion was like this, maybe I'd get more into it.

....and now you can return to your regularly scheduled day.

Everything has to be perfect.

This is to be the first time that they will have a huge event like this, one that Jubilee in a way, feels bad for. Because she wants to do this for her daughter, the entire school has to be involved. Somedays, it's harder than others to remember how much she owes them all, and how she will never be able to repay it.

But she isn't going to think about this today.

Today, she is going to dress her daughter up in a pretty white outfit, sent by Emma of course, and just parade her around. Show the world exactly how cute and amazing and perfect and fantastic and adorable etc. etc., her daughter is, which in Jubilee's opinion, will be easy enough.

The ceremony will happen outside, because to be cooped up inside on such a beautiful day would be a sin, and isn't today about purity and innocence?  The pastor has been recommended by her old pastor in the Hills and he understands the need for keeping it as secular as possible.  He's also a mutant sympathizer, which explains why he's allowed there today.

There won't be much pomp and circumstance. Godparents are to stand up at the front with Jubilee, Alex and Cati, and the pastor will explain their role.  Intead of being responsible for Cati's religious upbringing, they will be responsible for providing life skills, and helping their goddaughter in the event her parents can't.

In Jubilee's head, she's calling them Cati's fairy godparents. Each one is chosen, not randomly, as it may appear, but for specific reasons.  Terry will provide wisdom, Paige will provide patience, Tabitha will provide joy, Jono will provide responsiblity and John will provide reality. Jubilee's pretty proud of herself for her choices and happily has the pastor include those reasons when he is presenting the godparents.  If they don't agree with it, they can talk to her later, but she can't imagine them being angry with it.

When the event is finished, everyone is ushered to the backyard, where a BBQ has been organized, as well as countless cookies provided by everyone's favourite Southern girl.  The baby is awake and smiley, and more than willing to be passed around. 
 
ooc: slow time ftw? open to any of jubilee's friends, no rush necessary, i just wanted to put this up. it'll be up for at least a week or so.

Okies, so after much much deliberation, I'd like to formally invite all mah friends to Cati's presentation.

Since neither Alex nor I are really religious, I talked to my old pastor from Cali and he said that a presentation worked just fine. It's basically like a baptism, but doens't involve a lot of religious crap, but I can keep the whole godparent thing cause well, I like that idea. (so John, Terry, Tabby, Paigey and Jono -- you guys don't have to do anything but show up and look cute ^_^ ) 

Anyways.

June 2nd (so next Tuesday) at 4:30. I know people work and all, so I hope that's okay? If not, we can move the time down a little.

Supper will be provided (and no, I'm not cooking. Rogue is :D WEE!) and holding of the baby allowed.

My most perfectly amazing child, my gift to the planet Earth, turned ONE MONTH OLD yesterday.

And I'm still here. Alive. My god.

Alex and I took her down to Central Park and OMG! Can I just say I was TOTALLY terrified??? I think this is the FIRST TIME we've taken her out like OUT OUT and it's just like GAH! But she was totally chill, like she always is, and just adorable, and her eyes are STILL blue, so yay! Went and did the rounds with her. Sorry if we didn't manage to stop by but I have a lot of people to see :( We're still planning on when we're gonna do like the official baby presentation but I shall def keep you posted.

I love my blue eyed asian baby ^_^ So cute! 

In other news: I GOT MY TEST RESULTS BACK! It took foreVER yo, because they lost my exam and I threw a fit because I was NOT writing another math test, but they found it and I passed (barely) but i PASSED! So I can graduate this year, which means I may be a teenage mom but at least I'm one with a HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA! WOO! 

Baby is three weeks old now....and she so cute. She makes little OOOH sounds like a piglet. It's just so weird ahahhaa omg. I created perfect life, y'all. Seriously....and wow, I've been hanging out with Rogue too much. She is in my HEAD, yo!

Oh, and dear flist -- I have a question. A conundrum if you will.

Okay so I don't wanna call Alex my boyfriend cause HELLO, he's not a boy. And calling him my baby daddy sounds so white trash, and I'm not even white. And isn't partner reserved for the LGBT community?

Also? I had the most AMAZING mother's day....once I got over the intial SHOCK of waking up and finding my baby MISSING. God, Alex, you ever do that again, take off without your cellphone, I swear to god, I'm going to show you some tricks Wolvie has taught me over the years. You don't even want to KNOW *glares*

Regardless. I got to sleep in and my poodle gave me daffodils, which are like way cute and had a meaning but I was too busy going AWWWWW to really hear what he had to say. ^_^ 

It was a rare moment when Jubilee could just lay in the bed and play with her daughter. For once, no one was popping in and out, Alex was off getting yelled at by Scott, and Cati was actually content and not crying. 

Jubilee sent a prayer to whatever god that was listening in thanks. 

It was the most peace and quiet she'd had in forever. Within fifteen minutes, she was bored.  It was just too weird to have nothing going on.  Cati had already drifted off to sleep again, although Jubilee knew from experience (and who knew two weeks meant you were starting to have experience) that she'd be waking up soon enough to feed.  Sitting cross-legged on the bed, she reached for her phone and sent Ari a text.

Bb asleep. Come meet her!

And now to wait for Ari to show up.

A package is sent to his apartment with the following note:

Hey John! So I found you the most BESTEST birthday present ever but alas, I am poor so I begged and pleaded and possibly sold my soul so that Ms. Potts would get it for you.  She's sending it to you and you won't get it until May 13th, but I just KNOW that you'll get it :D For SURE! It's an auction, aren't I mean?  Pepper already agreed to it, and she'll get it! I know it! :D 

I'm just lucky, that she apparently tolerates me enough to do this.  ^_^  So happy birthday from Pepper and me!! (But don't tell her I used her first name! I hear she can kill people with a glare!)

Inside the package is some pictures of Cati, a touque she knitted herself, and a coupon book filled with potential pranks, so that the kids at SAJ learn how to do pranks.

I don't know how this is supposed to predict my month...but it's bouncy! I need energy! LOTS of it. My baby is cryyyyying again and WILL NOT STOP! :(  I've tried everything but nope! Nope, nope, nope,nope,nope. OMG. I want instructions damnit. I swear, God, if you gave me instructions? I would READ them instead of like using them to prop up my table and keep it from being wobbly. Thanks.

I GET TO BE A MOOSHAKA! MOOSHUKA? Moshukaaka? Bah. I don't know Russian, but I DO know that I get a BREAK tonight and get to spend time with my girls and bless them with prosperity?? Whatever. ALEX YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BOTHER ME AT ALL! CATI IS YOURS ALL NIGHT .
